3 Potential Dividend Champions With High Yields And 10 Additional To Consider

Today I've created a small list of stocks with high dividend yields (over five percent) that are close to become a Dividend Champion in the upcoming years. Those stocks have raised dividends over more than 25 years in a row.

Dividend Growth is King

When you read my blog for a longer time, you should know that dividend growth is the key of a successful dividend investing.

In a non-performing market, dividends contribute 100 percent to the total performance or they can reduce their losses.

In my view, dividends are good enough to generate a solid cash income when the market suffers.

Over the past five years, this strategy failed because of the high intention of the Federal Reserve to reduce the unemployment via money printing. As a result, stock markets more than doubled in the most countries of the world and equities got very expensive.

Dividend yields of the best dividend paying stocks declined also by a few percentage points and investors often don't get a compensation for inflation now.

What we need are higher yielding stocks, but those are also more risky and sometimes overloaded with debt.

I've attached a list of the highest yielding potential dividend Champions. Only 13 companies with a consecutive dividend growth history of 10 to 25 years have a current dividend yield above the 5 percent ratio.

15 Stocks With Latest Dividend Growth

Stocks with dividend hikes from last week originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. Only 15 stocks announced last week to hike dividends. The average dividend growth amounts to 26.37 percent.

Two big names are on the list. They are Philip Morris and Franklin Resources. The biggest dividend increases come from Axiall, Royal Caribbean and Sasol. All three plan to double or more dividends.

It’s good to see that the dividend growth goes into a next round. Dividend growth shows that the management team is optimistic about the company’s future and they like to give money back to shareholders they don’t need in this environment.

15 Higher Capitalized Monthly Dividend Paying Stocks

Stocks with monthly dividend payments originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. I know that you love it to receive dividends and some of you want dividends on a monthly basis.

I talked about this theme in the past and mentioned that it doesn’t matter how often you will receive the dividend. The good thing is that you get smaller amounts of money earlier that you can use for other investing activities. The bad item is that the more often you get dividends the higher the costs for the company because each transaction will produce costs at banks and service providers.

However, today I would like to introduce some of the 15 biggest companies with a monthly dividend payment. Seven of them yielding over five percent and nine got a buy or better rating from brokerage firms.

Most of the monthly dividends paying stocks have a relation to the financial sector e.g. REITs, Banks or asset management. The second biggest part of the list goes to basic material stocks like gold or oil companies.
