5 Higher Yielding Financial Stocks With Low Debt Figures

Dividends are a powerful income source if you use it wisely. I personally prefer stocks with solid growth potential but don't like to overpay a stock.

But as investor with a small pocket and a high desire of big yielding stocks, I also need to look at companies with yields far above the 5 percent mark.

Today I've discovered some stock ideas from the financial sector. I know, it’s not the best place to hunt for opportunities because the assets are often strange in terms of asset volatility. In addition, the financial sector often life from interest arbitrage, a risky and low margin business (in a market with full information). However, you can find a compilation about financial stocks with high yields and "normal" debt ratios beow.

These are my criteria:

Market cap is greater than Over 100 million.
Dividend yield is greater than 8.5%.
The payout ratio is less than 100%.
Total debt to equity is less than 1.00.

Five higher yielding stocks from the financial sector fulfilled these criteria. The most of the results are low capitalized.

15 High Yielding Stocks Close To New 52-Week Highs

High Yield Large Caps quite below new 52-Week Highs originally published at long-term-investments.blogspot.com. I’m not a momentum trader who seeks the hottest investment opportunities over the short run. I am looking for high quality dividend paying stocks that hike cash payments to shareholders each year and plan to continue this for decades. For sure, there are not many corporate that can manage this need. Only 15 stocks or so have achieved to rise dividends year over year for more than 50 years.

I also look at stocks at new highs. I believe that it’s a good sign when the stock is near all time highs or close to new 52-Week Highs. Something must run well right and investors gift trust to the corporate. You should definitely care about a solid valuation and avoid it to buy stocks with higher P/E’s.

Today I would like to present you some higher capitalized High Yields that are a few percentage points below new 52-Week Highs. It should be possible that these stocks can hit new highs in the near future.

Only fifteen stocks with more than USD 2 billion market capitalization are traded close to new highs and twelve of them got a current buy or better rating by investment firms. Two companies have a double-digit dividend yield.

I made a little screen of the best yielding stocks with a higher capitalization that have their ex date on the next trading day.

In total, 192 stocks, preferred shares or funds go ex dividend - of which 95 yield more than 3 percent. The average yield amounts to 6.02%. Here is a full list of all stocks with ex-dividend date within the current week.

72 Top Dividend Stocks With Ex-Dividend Date In September 2013

Monthly high yielding shares researched by “long-term-investments.blogspot.com”. We are coming close to the end of August and I would like to look forward to find good stock ideas for the next month.

I try to screen some interesting stocks that go ex-dividend within the next month.

I also publish articles each day on my site about the biggest ex-dividend shares of the next trading day. Let me say one thing. There is no margin trade idea behind because on the ex date, the stock will be traded ex-dividend and for a return of 0.5 percent it’s not attractive to hunt for a margin trade because the daily fluctuations are much higher.

But it makes sense to look at these lists because you get a quick overview about the stocks with a possible rising trading volume and if you are a long-term dividend investor, you get a quick cash return and don’t need to wait for the next dividend period.

However, every month, I create a small list about interesting high yielding stocks with ex-dividend date for the next month. I think it could bring you some values to see what companies pay you cash next month with an attractive equity story.

As result, I found 72 stocks with an average dividend yield of 7.89 percent. Ten stocks have a double-digit yield and 28 a high yield below 10 percent but over 5 percent. 32 stocks from the results have a buy or better recommendation.
